These Terms are an agreement between you and Geek Passions LLC ("Homework Dash," "we," "us") for your use of HomeworkDash.com. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Academic Integrity Policy, and our Refund Policy.

About us

Homework Dash is a brand owned and operated by Geek Passions LLC. When these Terms say "we," they mean Geek Passions LLC and, if these Terms are transferred as described under "Transfer of these Terms," the company that takes them over, which may be a company named Homework Dash LLC.

Who can use Homework Dash

Homework Dash is not a children's service. Adults 18 and older may create their own accounts. A minor is anyone under 18 years old. Students ages 13 to 17 may use Homework Dash only through an account that their parent or guardian creates. The parent or guardian owns that account, agrees to these Terms for the student, is responsible for all activity and purchases on it, and must complete all ratings and feedback for the student. Homework Dash is not for anyone under 13.

What minors may use

Minors may use Homework Help, research coaching, Typing Dash, and written tutoring. Minors may not use live video tutoring or Study Chat. In written tutoring, the student submits an assignment and a tutor replies in writing. If the student is still confused, they tap More Details and describe what they need, and the tutor revises their written response. Every message is saved, and the student or parent can report a tutor at any point. We strongly advise that a parent or guardian be present and take part in every written tutoring session.

What Homework Dash does

You upload photos or files of your homework and choose an option. We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to provide answers, step-by-step work, and lessons. Homework Dash is a study tool. It is not a school, does not grant credit, and does not guarantee grades.

Learning, not cheating

You agree to use Homework Dash to check your work and learn, and to follow your school's and teacher's rules. You may not use Homework Dash during a test, quiz, or exam, or to submit work as your own where your school does not allow it. We do not write essays, papers, or other work for you to turn in, and we do not help you get around plagiarism or AI-detection tools. When an assignment contains instructions that don't match the rest, we show them to you and ask whether they belong; we never remove or work around a teacher's instructions, and you are responsible for following them. Live tutoring

Live video tutoring is only for members 18 and older. Tutoring is $29.99 per hour. To request a session, you pay a $10 deposit. We then look for a qualified tutor for your requested time. If we find one, we'll email you the tutor and confirmed time, and you pay the balance to confirm the session. If we can't find a tutor (we stop looking 12 hours before your requested time, or 3 days after you book, whichever comes first), or you cancel before the session is confirmed, your deposit is refunded automatically. Your tutor may message you to agree on a different time; a session is moved only when you both agree. Sessions are held by video on Homework Dash. Same-day sessions are not guaranteed. After your tutor joins, you can mark the session complete, and sessions are completed automatically after they end.

Written tutoring

Written tutoring is $13.99 plus any sales tax per assignment. Your assignment is checked for safety, then offered to qualified tutors. A tutor replies in writing, and you can ask for More Details up to 3 times. If no tutor takes your assignment within 48 hours, you're refunded automatically. An answered assignment is marked complete when you tap "This Helped, I'm Done," or automatically after 7 days with no new questions. Every message and file is checked before delivery and saved. Tutors never share contact information, and students must not ask for it.

Video sessions, recording, and extra time

Recording: every tutoring session is recorded (video and audio) for safety, quality, and to resolve disputes. Everyone in the session is told before joining, and joining means you agree to be recorded. Recordings are private, seen only by Homework Dash management when needed, and deleted automatically after 90 days. We may make a written transcript of a recording when needed for safety, quality, or a dispute.

Session time: your session clock starts when both you and your tutor are in the video room, and runs for the time you paid for. The video room opens 15 minutes before the scheduled start. If you are late, your session still ends at the paid time.

Extra time: near the end of a session, you may be offered 30 more minutes for $14.99 plus any sales tax, if your tutor is available. You can add time as many times as your tutor is available. Extra time is charged when you add it. If your payment goes through after the session has already ended, we refund it automatically. If your tutor ends paid extra time early, contact us for a refund of the unused time.

Ratings: students rate tutors and tutors rate students after each session. If either one gives the other fewer than 3 stars, that tutor and student will not be matched again. Tutors' ratings of students are private.

Research coaching

Research coaching is $29.99 per hour, priced by the phases you choose. Hours are estimates created with the help of AI from the assignment you share. A coach helps you understand the assignment, find credible sources, plan, and improve your own writing. Coaches do not write papers or other work for you to turn in.

Free assignment check

Our assignment check reviews instructions you paste or upload and may point out text that is hidden on the page. We never follow hidden instructions, and we encourage you to ask your teacher if you're unsure what an assignment requires.

Tutors and coaches

Tutor profiles show a first name, photo, experience, subjects, and availability. Star ratings and session counts are calculated automatically from real sessions and student feedback; tutors and staff can't change them. Tutors and research coaches are screened, agree to our Team Member Agreement, and must keep all communication on Homework Dash tools. Never share personal contact information with a tutor or coach, and report anything that makes you uncomfortable to support@geekpassionsllc.com.

Credits

When you complete the short survey for a finished order, tutoring session, or research project, we add 1 credit to your account, once per item. Credits are used automatically to lower the price of your next eligible purchase on homeworkdash.com (within the 80% discount limit), and the lowered price is shown before you pay. Credits are not money: they have no cash value, can't be exchanged for cash, sold, or transferred, and are removed if your account is deleted. Please answer honestly; your feedback helps us improve, and positive answers are never required.

Homework Dash Plus subscription

Homework Dash Plus costs $19.99 per month, and Homework Dash Plus Ad-Free costs $24.99 per month (plus any applicable tax). Plus Ad-Free includes everything in Plus and hides all ads on the website and in our apps. You can switch plans in My Account; the difference for the current month is added to or credited on your next bill. It includes one free Homework Help assignment per day (resetting at midnight Central time; unused days don't carry over), 50% off additional Homework Help orders, and access to Study Chat for members 18 and older. Plus discounts don't apply to tutoring or research coaching. Members under 18 may subscribe with a parent's or guardian's permission, but can't use Study Chat. Your subscription renews automatically every month, and your payment method is charged your plan's price ($19.99 or $24.99) on each renewal date, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in My Account with one click, or by emailing us. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the month you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't give refunds or credits for partial months, except where required by law. We'll tell you in advance by email before any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Credits can't be used for Plus.

Team member perks

Active Homework Dash moderators and interns receive Homework Dash Plus Ad-Free and AI Homework Help at no charge on the member account that uses the same email as their team login. Perks don't include live tutoring, written tutoring, or research coaching; they last only while the person is an active moderator or intern in good standing; they have no cash value; and they can't be shared, sold, or transferred. Normal limits and fair use apply. We may change or end team perks at any time.

College discount

Members who sign up with a school email address ending in .edu get 25% off Homework Help orders. Together with Plus, the discount is 75%. The college discount is for current college students; we may ask for proof of enrollment and may remove the discount if it is misused. It doesn't apply to tutoring, research coaching, or the Plus subscription price.

Discount limit

Discounts and credits can be combined, but apart from coupon codes, no purchase is ever discounted by more than 80%. Every paid purchase is at least 20% of its regular price and at least $0.50. Any credits not used stay in your account for your next purchase. The one free daily assignment included with Plus is the only exception.

Coupon codes

Homework Dash may offer coupon codes. A coupon code works only for the services, dates, and number of uses shown when it is offered, must be entered before checkout, and may make a purchase free. Coupon codes have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and cannot be applied to past purchases. Each purchase can use one coupon code. We may end or change a coupon code at any time, and may cancel purchases made with codes that were misused or obtained by mistake. If a purchase made with a coupon is refunded, only the amount you actually paid is refunded.

Study Chat

Study Chat is only for members 18 and older. By joining, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to the Community Rules. If you tell us you are under 18, chat is locked on your account. Members appear only by the alias they choose at sign-up and may not share real names or share or ask for contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers, social media accounts, or links. Members may attach PDF or text files of study material (up to 10 per day), which are checked automatically before others can see them; photos cannot be posted in chat. GIFs may be sent only through the built-in GIF button, which is limited to PG content provided by GIPHY. We use automated tools to check messages and may block, hide, or remove any content or member at our discretion. Study Chat has zero tolerance for slurs, hate speech, profanity, insults, harassment, and bullying. Banned words are blocked automatically. Slurs lead to an automatic 10-day chat suspension; other blocked messages count as warnings, and 3 warnings in 30 days lead to a 10-day suspension. Moderators may also suspend members after reviewing flags. After one suspension, another confirmed violation suspends your Homework Dash account while we review it, and we may close it permanently. While an account is suspended, it cannot be used. Suspensions and account closures do not qualify for a refund of Homework Dash Plus, Chat Passes, or anything else. Each room holds 100 members, with up to 200 more for Chat Pass holders, and slow mode may limit how often you can post in busy rooms. Members get 3 hours in each room per day. A Chat Pass ($0.99 plus any sales tax) adds 3 hours in every room and entry to full rooms until midnight Central time on the day you buy it, and is non-refundable. Messages are posted by members, not by us; we do not verify members' identities or the accuracy of what they post, and we are not responsible for member content. Don't rely on another member's answer without checking it, and never meet a member in person or send them money. We may report illegal content to law enforcement.

Ads

Homework Dash shows a small number of ads on our website and in our apps, including ads from other businesses. Ads are labeled. We don't endorse advertisers or their products, and we aren't responsible for their websites, offers, or anything you buy from them. Anything you buy from an advertiser is between you and that business. Advertisers must agree not to sell anything that helps students cheat; if an ad seems to break that rule or you have a problem with an advertiser, please report it and we'll review it. Using any product to cheat is still against these Terms and our Academic Integrity Policy. Video ads can be skipped after 15 seconds. Plus Ad-Free members don't see ads, and accounts for students under 18 see only Homework Dash's own ads. Businesses that advertise apply and pay on our website with a Homework Dash account, never in our apps, and agree to our Advertiser Terms.

Accuracy

We work hard to be accurate, but answers can contain mistakes. Review every answer and use your own judgment. If an answer is wrong, see our Refund Policy.

Messages and notifications

We may send you notices about your account, orders, sessions, safety, and changes to these Terms, and occasional announcements about Homework Dash. They appear in Messages (the bell) and, depending on your choices in My Account, by email. You can turn off optional emails at any time; account, security, and receipt emails are always sent.

Your account

When you sign up, you choose an alias. Your alias is the only name other members see. Don't use your real name, contact information, or anything offensive; we may change or remove an alias that breaks these rules. Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete some of your data, or your whole account, at any time from My Account. See Delete Your Data for what is deleted and what we must keep.

Sign-in and account security

To protect your account, two wrong passwords in a row lock your password, and we email you a code to choose a new one. We also block sign-in attempts that look automated. You can add a backup email and a security question in My Account; if you can't get into your email, we can send a code to your backup email and ask your security question. Keep your backup email current. If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms also apply to that sign-in, and you're responsible for keeping that account secure. We may lock or suspend an account to protect it or others.

Payments

Prices don't include sales tax. Any sales tax required where you live is calculated from your billing address and added at checkout. Prices are shown before checkout and are charged per order (or monthly, for Homework Dash Plus) through our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.

Prices on the website and in our apps

Prices can be different depending on where you buy. Purchases on homeworkdash.com are charged by our payment processor. Purchases in the Homework Dash app for iPhone and iPad are made through Apple's App Store, and purchases in the Homework Dash app for Android are made through Google Play. Live tutoring, written tutoring, and research coaching cost more in our apps than on homeworkdash.com; Homework Help, Homework Dash Plus, and the Study Chat Pass cost the same. The price you pay is always shown before you buy. A purchase made in an app is also covered by Apple's or Google's terms, and Apple or Google handles its payment, any sales tax, and its refunds. In our apps, credits and coupon codes that only lower the price can't be used, but coupon codes that make a purchase free can; member discounts, such as the Homework Dash Plus discount and the free daily assignment, apply everywhere. A Homework Dash Plus subscription bought in an app renews, and can be changed or canceled, only through the App Store or Google Play account that bought it.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service. Do not upload other people's personal information or content you don't have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Homework Dash, including by interfering with the site, accessing it without permission, reselling answers, or using it for anything unlawful.

Suspensions and ending use

We may suspend an account while we review a possible violation of these Terms or our Community Rules, and close it after review. A suspended account can't be used, and automatic renewal of Homework Dash Plus may be paused while it's suspended. If we close your account for breaking these Terms or our Community Rules, you won't receive a refund. You may stop using Homework Dash at any time.

Harmful files

Every file uploaded to Homework Dash is scanned for viruses and other harmful software before anyone can open it. If you upload a harmful file, on purpose or not, the file is locked away permanently, your account is frozen permanently, and you may not open another account. We may close the account without a refund.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Homework Dash is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including that it will be error-free or meet your goals.

Third-party services

Some features rely on other companies, such as our payment processor, Google and Apple sign-in, and GIPHY. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services, and we aren't responsible for them.

Indemnity

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to cover Geek Passions LLC, its owners, team members, and successors for claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that come from your misuse of Homework Dash, your content, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Geek Passions LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem, please email us first; most issues can be solved quickly, and we'll try for at least 30 days before either of us goes to court. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, except that either of us may use small claims court where it qualifies. To the extent the law allows, claims must be brought individually and not as part of a class or group action.

Transfer of these Terms

We may transfer these Terms, your account, and the information connected to it to a company related to Geek Passions LLC or to a successor, including a company named Homework Dash LLC, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business. The new company will be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy for the information it receives. You may not transfer your account.

General

These Terms, together with the policies they mention, are the entire agreement between you and us about Homework Dash. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a part right away, we haven't given up the right to do so later.

Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or on the site before they take effect.
